A 5 day/night action packed holiday for families who wish to learn new skills, try out a selection of activities and explore the beautiful North Clare countryside and coastline. The secluded setting of the Boghill Centre offers a safe and exciting playground for children in its 50 acres estate. Activities on site include learning the tin whistle, morning family yoga stretching sessions, vegetarian cookery and interaction with nature activities - pottery and cob building workshops using our own Boghill clay, pond dipping, nature trails, treasure hunts.
The week also includes 2 activities walking and caving. There is an option to choose – Kayaking, Surfing or Climbing (extra charge).

Day 1 Exploring Boghill
Arrive at Boghill and settle in before exploring the complex using our Interaction with Nature tour and map. Receive you free tin whistle and learn your first traditional Irish tune before tucking into a delicious vegetarian evening meal. (Cold meat and fish options available.) Games and jigsaws for the kids and an optional evening out for the adults. Babysitters on hand if required.
Day 2 Let’s get Muddy
Early morning yoga stretches for the family After breakfast a chance to learn another tune and then it’s time to get muddy. Cob building or ceramics is the order of the day. Two very different activities using our own Boghill clay – absolutely no experience necessary and the muddier the better! Set off to the coast with a tasty picnic and test visit the spectacular Doolin Cave. Hopefully you can fit in a swim prior to returning to Boghill for a quick whistle practice before a delicious Boghill dinner. A selection of evening activities to suit all ages with an escape option to the pub.
Day 3 Treasure on the land
Wake up again to yoga stretches to suit everyone. More tunes after breakfast and then its treasure time. Families can compete in the Boghill Treasure Hunt around the grounds and nearby bogland – wellies supplied! Its then time to collect your picnic and set off exploring again. We recommend visiting The Burren Centre and exploring Kilfenora or venturing a little further afield to the symbol of the Burren, Poulnabrone and CaherConnell Stone Fort. Alternatively head to the Cliffs of Moher for an experience! Tonight will be a kids choice dinner at Boghill with an option to help out in the kitchen. Then its story time or pub time – maybe a chance for you adults to try out your new found whistling skills!
Day 4 The Burren Rocks!
Stretch your muscles ready for a trek today with pre breakfast yoga. Another whistle lesson before snatching a chance to complete your clay work prior to setting off to the heart of the Burren with a tasty picnic. Here you will be joined by Tony our trusty walking guide for an exciting introduction to the delights of the Burren National Park – it’s like a magical fairyland. After an Internationally influenced meal at Boghill there will be an assortment of activities to try out before bedtime or pub time.
Day 5 Wetting your Whistles
Yoga stretches to prepare you for the day before getting another tune or two under your belt and then indulging in a bit of pond dipping – our newts and water beetles are prolific. Armed with a picnic package the afternoon is yours to explore as you will. Wander along the local back lanes, hire a bike or venture farther afield – there is plenty to do. Back at Boghill there will be an Irish set dance lesson for all followed by dinner and then a Ceili option for the adults who still have energy!
Day 6 Concert and Departure
One remaining chance to show how flexible you are in the yoga hall. After breakfast its time for a quick pre concert practice and then you are on stage! Don’t worry – it will only be the Boghill family and friends in the audience. Departure after saying goodbye to your audience, collecting your tunes and finding out how to continue your musical learning.
